GuardIAN Remote Monitoring & Diagnostics System

MineARC’s GuardIAN Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics System is an exciting new development in refuge chamber technology. GuardIAN enables real-time monitoring; providing confidence that an operation’s fleet of refuge chambers are emergency ready at all times.

GuardIAN is an on-board system that continuously monitors all vital refuge operating systems. During standby mode GuardIAN checks for component faults and monitors refuge chamber usage or entry to the chamber.

GuardIAN's secure online interface is hosted on an internal server within the refuge chamber so that no client software installation is required. The responsive webpage is easily accessible from any computer, tablet or smartphone and features a summary of your entire refuge chamber fleet and overall operational status, with the ability to drill down to a detailed report of each chamber.

Aura-FX Digital Gas Monitoring

MineARC's new Aura-FX Digital Gas Monitoring System is a proprietary fixed gas monitoring unit, designed specifically for use in refuge chambers and safe havens.

A vast improvement on current digital gas monitors (DGMs) on the market, Aura-FX provides a more convenient solution to internal refuge gas monitoring. Aura-FX has the ability to individually monitor up to 11 gases via a series of user-friendly, digital screens. Audible voice alarms will prompt occupants to replace scrubbing chemicals or adjust oxygen supply levels in the refuge chamber as required.

When utilised as part of the MineARC System Intelligence network, Aura-FX provides real-time gas monitoring data and analysis via the GuardIAN dashboard.

  • Greater servicing efficiency and reduced calibration costs
  • Dedicated, reliable sensors specific for refuge chamber use
  • Reduced risk of human error during an emergency

Compressed Air Management System

The MineARC Compressed Air Management System (CAMS) is a dedicated air management unit designed specifically use in refuge chambers and safe havens. The unique air management system monitors and regulates compressed air flow into the chamber.

When utilised as part of the MineARC System Intelligence network, vital information relating to the integrity of the internal refuge chamber atmosphere is communicated in real-time via the GuardIAN dashboard. An increase in CAMS activity would indicate a breach of the refuge chamber seal, thus sending an alert to designated personnel that there is a problem.

  • Improved four-stage filtration
  • Flood protection valve for automatic air shut off
  • Improved operational safety
  • Lower energy costs through the optimisation of mine air usage
  • Faster service time

Satellite UPS System

MineARC’s solution to easing the process of replacing refuge chamber batteries underground and ensuring batteries perform at full capacity for their expected life-span is the Satellite UPS System.

Engineered specifically for use in conjunction with refuge chambers, the Satellite UPS System's compact and portable design means that it can easily be brought to the surface for maintenance or battery change-out. Reinforced sliding draws house the batteries and allows for a top down installation and removal process. The fully enclosed box features an integrated air conditioner for complete temperature control and battery balancing technology to ensure all batteries within a string are charged equally.

When used in conjunction with MineARC's GuardIAN, real-time, remote monitoring of each individual battery is performed. Battery faults can be identified immediately via the GuardIAN Dashboard and Alert Feed, with auto-generated event notifications sent directly to any personal device. Voltage and temperature diagnostics for each individual battery within a string can also be viewed via a graph, highlighting any fluctuations over the past 24 hours. External gas monitoring utilizing MineARC’s Aura-FX Digital Gas Monitoring System can also be included.

  • Reinforced sliding draws for improved operational safety during battery change-out
  • Integrated air conditioner for protection against overheating
  • Charge balancing technology to improve battery life-span
  • Real-time, remote battery monitoring to identify battery faults immediately

Cap Lamp

The new premium MineARC Cap Lamp redefines wearable lighting designed for underground environments. Specially engineered to improve efficiency and visibility to ensure safe operations, the cap lamp is an essential element in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). MineARC’s cap lamp provides a quality and reliable lighting solution; combining dual beams, superior colour rendering and a robust design. The cap lamp has the ability to automatically adjust light intensity to suit a variety of situations, emulating natural light and conserving power.

The cap lamp sources power through a purpose-designed, light weight curly cord which enables additional cable length whilst still hugging the body. This links effortlessly with the quick-connect battery system; an interchangeable clip-in battery pack designed to be compatible with future MineARC products. In addition, a universal clip will ensure the cap lamp can be utilised with any style of hard hat, mount, harness or personal headwear.

When used in conjunction with MineARC’s GuardIAN System, the cap lamp’s inbuilt tracking software can provide real time location monitoring for the entire workforce. Personnel can be located remotely from the control room via GuardIAN, providing vital information for search and rescue teams in the event of an emergency.
