What is the Telstra Business Awards?
The Telstra Business Awards is an Australian competition recognising small-to-medium-sized businesses that impact their industry. The Western Australian state event was fiercely competitive with a plethora of change-makers. The full list of category winners can be read here.
MineARC Systems was established in 1999 in Perth, Western Australia. The company’s goal was to improve the safe working conditions for all underground personnel.
Through the development of the world’s very first combined CO and CO2 scrubbing system for refuge chambers, MineARC led the way forward in the supply and manufacture of life-sustaining safe havens for emergency scenarios.
"Ten of thousands of people rely on our refuge chambers every day to keep them safe from potential hazards in the workplace."

Promoting Safe Practices
From these humble beginnings, we are proud to now have over 2,500 MineARC Chambers in the field, in 62 countries, across the mining, petrochemical and tunnelling industries.
We remain proudly Australian, with a never-ending commitment to supporting the local economy – with growing staff numbers and most products being manufactured, produced and assembled in Western Australia. We continue to grow our business through investment into R&D and product diversification, with five new products forecast for launch this year alone.
Ultimately, MineARC is in the business of saving lives, and our chambers are there to be used on that bad day – when something goes wrong. While we hope that, in fact, our chambers never need to be used, they have, on many occasions, protecting personnel during those terrifying moments and ensuring that at the end of the day, they get to return home to their families.
Over 40,000 people rely on our refuge chambers every day to keep them safe from potential hazards in the workplace.
